It is noted that the network was coordinated by one of the militants of the intelligence unit of the illegal armed formations of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The group consisted of Ukrainian citizens who were recruited in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, and had the task of carrying out reconnaissance of military facilities in the area of the Joint Forces Operation in order to carry out sabotage actions against them.

Law enforcers managed to detain one of the members of the agent network. He was informed of suspicion of committing a crime (participation in a terrorist organization) and a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention. Investigative actions are ongoing in relation to other members of the illegal network.

As we reported, the counter-intelligence of Ukraine's SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) has exposed and shut down the spy network of the Russian FSB. The agent network acted in Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, and Chernihiv regions.
