About a hundred people picketed the Office of the President in Kyiv today, August 24. This was reported by the Ukrinform.

Most of the protesters came in festive embroidered shirts and military uniforms. It is also reported that the organizer of the action is volunteer Myroslav Hai.

Letters to the president, signed by the participants of the event called on him to counteract possible surrender to Russia by all methods, to respond in a timely manner to the statements and actions of the political parties of Ukraine or representatives of foreign states that pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine.

In a letter read out by Hai, the participants demand a refutation of the statement about the ban on the military to shoot back in Donbas, a ban on Russian media representatives coming to Ukraine and opening Russian media outlets in Ukraine; counteract the provision of the autonomy to any region of the country; condemn the statement of politicians on the possible granting of the status of national language to the Russian language.

"We know about all the threats. We will counter threats peacefully, but we will not allow any signs of surrender," Hai added.

It noted that the signed letters were handed over to the representative of the Office of the President.
