Leaders of the world and famous public figures widely comment on the decision of the U.S. government to withdraw from the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Yesterday, President Donald Trump officially stated that the White House is no longer a party to the UN framework document.
Former U.S. presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton condemned the decision of Donald Trump.
According to Obama, ‘the U.S. should stay on the forefront’. ‘Even if the current U.S. government joins those who denies future, I’m pretty sure our states, cities and enterprises will make a step forward and will do even more to help protect our planet for future generations,’ Obama stressed.
Bill Clinton’s commentary looks a bit stricter and more decisive.
Walking away from Paris treaty is a mistake. Climate change is real. We owe our children more. Protecting our future also creates more jobs.

German leader Angela Merkel said she regrets about Trump’s decision. Her press secretary Steffen Seibert tweeted this, commenting on the issue.
French president Emmanuel Macron also opposed the decision, saying France will stay loyal to its commitments within the document.
Climate change is already changing our daily lives. It's not the future we want for our world.

Hillary Clinton called Trump’s decision ‘a historical mistake’.
