Text of the summon is published by the Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office in Uriadovyi Kurier: “The suspect Yanukovych Viktor Fedorovych, born 9.07.1950 in accordance with the requirements of Articles 133, 135, 297-5 of Criminal Procedure Code is called to show up on August 11, 2015, 11.00 AM. to the Chief of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine for holding investigative and procedural actions of criminal proceedings,” as said in the statement.
Yanukovych left Kyiv during the night of 21 February 2014. In his press conference in Rostov-on-Don on 28 February he claimed that at the time he did not flee anywhere, but that his car was shot at by automatic rifles as he left Kyiv for Kharkiv "to meet the representatives of local parties" and he was then forced to move around Ukraine amid fears for the safety of himself and his family.
