"The grounds, on which foreigners can obtain such a permit, are clearly defined grounds. The desire to go on the week off is not the basis for the entry of a foreigner on the Crimean peninsula today" explained spokesman of State migratory service Sergiy Hunko.
500 foreigners applied for permission to enter Crimea to Ukrainian State migratory service since the new migration rules have entered into force. About 350 of them got approval.
He recalled that the real grounds for getting such a permission are close relatives living in Crimea, burial issues, death of a close relative or owning the property rights on the peninsula.
Since the beginning of June 2015 new rules of crossing the administrative border with Crimea entered into force. According to them, foreigners can get to the island only with special permission.
