A decree on the creation of a special commission, which would protect the rights of officials, was published by the self-proclaimed "head" of occupied Crimea Sergiy Aksionov, said UNIAN.

The aim of the commission is to avoid "discrediting the authority of the government", as stated in the decree; it is going to be a permanent body. In particular, the Commission will consider issues related to the validity of criminal cases, the investigation on officials annexed the peninsula. The local officials are obliged to immediately inform the Commission on the cases of the authorities’ discreditation.  The staff will be appointed from the deputy heads officials.

In this context, over the past few months in occupied Crimea several high-profile criminal cases against officials were initiated.
