On July 23, Ukrainian doctors registered 972 new cases of infection with Covid-19. This is mentioned in the report of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

A of 9 a.m. Friday, doctors have confirmed the total of 62,823 cases since the epidemic reached the country. 1,571 of those proved lethal. Another 34,886 patients recovered.

Currently, the largest numbers of cases are observed in Lviv region (8,588), Kyiv (7,396), Chernivtsi region (5,485) and Rivne region (5,399).

There is no available data from the occupied territories of Donbas and the annexed Crimea.

As we reported, the Ministry of Health will divide Ukraine into four zones - "red", "orange", "yellow" and "green". This was announced during a government meeting by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov.

The criteria for such division are the following: bed occupancy rate (not more than 50%), number of tests conducted (not less than 24 tests per 100,000 population), coronavirus detection rate (not more than 11%), and infection growth rate indicator (over 10%).
