Garbage coming to Hungary on Tisza River
Galician correspondent

Garbage that entered Hungary on the Tisza River is 80% Romanian in origin. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Ecological Inspectorate Andriy Malyovany.

The Chairman of the State Ecological Inspectorate noted that these are the results of the examination conducted by a working group, which included representatives of law enforcement and environmental agencies of Ukraine and Hungary.

"However, the fact that our country produces only one-fifth of all waste that litters the Tisza, does not absolve us of responsibility for the establishment of a waste management system. This includes the development of infrastructure for waste processing - sorting lines, incinerators, etc., " Malyovany said.

He added that it is important to monitor the condition of rivers. He announced that one of the steps to implement such a surveillance system would be taken soon.
