At least 75 citizens of Ukraine, including 54 children, stay in distress in Syria, as Refat Chubarov, the Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainian MP from Petro Poroshenko Bloc reported on Facebook.
“Recently, Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars and I as MP of Ukraine started to get the appeals from women, the citizens of Ukraine of different nationalities, who, due to different life circumstances, turned out to be at the territory of Syria with small children, with the requests to help them to return to Ukraine. At the moment, Crimean Tatar Mejlis is aware of 75 people (21 women and 54 small children), who stay in distress at the territory with destroyed infrastructure,” Chubarov wrote.
According to him, Mejlis communicate with the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine to help Ukrainian citizens, who turned out to be in the predicament out of their country.
Earlier a suicide bomber blew up a car near the tomb of Sheikh Aqeel in Syria’s Manbij, as the result of which eight people died.
