As for today, 67 citizens of Crimea are illegally detained in the Russian jails. Refat Chubarov, the MP claimed this at the rally-requiem in the memory of the victims of Crimean Tatars genocide in Kyiv as 112 Ukraine reported.
According to Chubarov, the prosecution with the help of the rigged criminal proceedings threatens everyone in occupied Crimea.
'For today, 67 citizens of Crimea, Ukraine are illegally detained. 105 little children wait for their illegally convicted parents', he reported.
'The ban for the activity of Mejlis, arrests, oppression, constant searches, intimidations, physical and psychological pressure, complete disappearance of people is the modern life of the Crimean Tatars and the ethnic Ukrainians in temporarily occupied Crimea', the MP noted.
As we reported Ukraine marks the 74th anniversary of the deportation of Crimean Tatars by the Soviet government. It has been the day of memory for Crimean Tatars and some Ukrainians ever since. Naturally, the problems of the Crimean Tatar population have received the second round after the Crimea occupation by Russia.
