64 inmates were transferred from prisons in the occupied part of Luhansk region to Ukraine-controlled territory. Deputy Justice Minister Denys Chernyshov posted that on Facebook.
The passage took place in tight cooperation with the Office of Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova; the men served time in detention centers in the temporarily occupied area of Luhansk region.
According to Chernyshov, it is the sixth such action this year. Since December 2018, 319 people were passed to Ukraine-controlled territory. "In general, 554 people were brought back to Ukraine-controlled territory since 2014; 223 of those came from the occupied part of Donetsk region and 12 more from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea", he wrote.
In February, 33 inmates were brought to Ukraine-controlled territory; in March, the number of prisoners made 60.
