6.3 mln foreigners cross Ukrainian border since early 2018

Since the beginning of the year, about 6.3 million foreign citizens have crossed the Ukrainian border. The State Border Guard reported that on Thursday.

The report says that annually, the authority spots an increase of the passenger flow across the ground, air and sea-based checkpoints on the Ukrainian border. 

'To compared with, in 2014, border guards allowed about 13 million foreigners to cross the border of our country; in 2017, the number of foreign citizens exceeded 14.6 million', the State Border Guard marked.

On July 20, one of the border guard squads of the Joint Forces that covers the "Sartan" Border Guard Service Department reported that an anti-tank guided missile exploded near them. It was launched from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine as the press service of the JFO reported on Facebook. "The personnel and equipment of the border guard squad were not damaged. The border guards immediately assumed the measures for the provision of the life and health safety of the personnel and civilians and organized the monitoring," the message said.
