The cost of servicing and maintaining the activities of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in 2019 amounted to about 36,3 million dollars, and 36,7 million dollars are planned for 2020. This is stated in the reply of the State Administration of Affairs to the request made by Ukranews.com.
It is known that the draft state budget for 2020 provided a 4% increase in president’s expenditures - up to 39,6 million dollars, but Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly promised that there would be no increase. As a result, the State Administration of Affairs approved 36,7 million dollars for serving the head of state by 2020, which is 3% less than in 2019.
As we reported earlier, in February, the State Tax Service (STS) exceeded the plan for revenues from taxes and fees to the general state budget fund by $100 million, or 7.1%.
The total revenue for the administration of which the STS is responsible amounted to 1.5 billion dollars.
It was also stated in February the state budget received 27.6%, or UAH 8.0 billion (321 million USD), more than in February 2019.
