Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that 322 sales contracts were registered during the first six days without a moratorium on the land sale. This was discussed at a government meeting on July 7, according to the press service of the Cabinet.
“The introduction of land reform contains a number of solutions and measures that establish transparent and clear rules of the game for all market participants, but most importantly for landowners - citizens of Ukraine and Ukrainian communities,” Shmygal noted.
According to him, sales contracts of agricultural land are concluded transparently and in accordance with established procedures. The myths about the mass sale and export of Ukrainian land chernozem abroad remained just myths.
As it was reported earlier, on July 1, Ukraine launched the land market lifting the moratorium on sale which was since 1992. The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko predicted that the cost of agricultural land would increase by 7-10% annually.
