Yatsenyuk reminded that in 2016 will be 30th anniversary of the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
"This tragedy has become a real challenge for the whole world, and the international conference should be opened to the world," - he stressed.
"We invite all donors and contributors to take part in a large international conference," - said the Prime Minister.
He also recalled that new safe confinement should be completed in 2017. The Prime Minister said that this is "an unprecedented case in world history." It is built by experts from 23 countries.
Yatsenyuk appealed to the Vice Prime Minister Valeriy Voschevsky during a Chornobyl donor meeting in London with the question of funding this project. "Ukraine itself will be difficult fund the facility building. I look forward to the support of our international partners".
In addition, he said that the dry cask storage of spent nuclear fuel should start functioning in 2017.
The conference will be held in London on July 16.
