Militants illegally detain 268 Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Another 114 Ukrainian citizens are held captive in the occupied Crimea and in the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Ukrainian ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova on her Facebook page.

"Today, 268 citizens of Ukraine are in illegal detention in the temporarily occupied part of Donbas, and 114 of our citizens are still being illegally detained on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Most of them, namely 78, are Crimean Tatars," Lyudmiyla Denisova said.

Meanwhile, a new peace plan on Donbas offered by Germany and France will be presented until the end of March. As of today, the details of this initiative are not disclosed as Adviser on Information Policy of the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group Oleksiy Arestovych reported on Facebook.

“Relatively new initiative (of German and France, - offered within the Normandy Format, the details of which are not disclosed yet; it should be officially offered by the parties until the end of March,” the message said.

He specified that the presentation of the plan on Donbas will be held in the next two-three weeks.
