As of September 9, 159 Ukrainians remain on the territory of Afghanistan. These people turned to the government asking for evacuation. Dmytro Kuleba, the Foreign Minister reported that during the briefing.
"We're working via our embassies in Tajikistan, Pakistan and Iran, and also through the embassies of certain friendly countries, which have onnections with Talibs as well, in order to organize more evacuation flights", the minister said.
According to him, the citizens who required evacuation are not in the risk group, which means there are no immediate threats for them.
"They are not reporters, or workers of international organizations or public activists, ex-officials or members of their families", Kuleba explained.
The minister asked all Ukrainians who wanted to return from Afghanistan to turn to Ukraine's embassies, which are supposed to add them to evacuation lists.
