“On Sunday, November 15, in Belarus, new protests take place. In Minsk, the detentions took place in Pushkinskaya and Pritytskogo areas, where the peaceful protesters gathered. Besides, the detentions were reported in Novogrudok, Bobruisk, Vitebsk, Gomel and Svietlahorsk,” the message said.
The majority of the detentions took place in Minsk. Besides, they were held in Grodno, Novopolotsk, Mogilev, Brest, Baranovichi, Mazyr, Pinsk, Vitebsk, Maladzyechna, Novogrudok, Orsha, Vileyka, Svietlahorsk.
On November 15, a protest march in memory of activist Raman Bandarenka, who died after being beaten by security officials, took place.
On November 8, the March of Democracy took place in Minsk and other Belarusian cities. Over 900 people were detained.
As we reported, the European Union officially imposed sanctions against Alexander Lukashenko and dozens of Belarusian officials for violent repression, including arbitrary arrests and ill-treatment of peaceful protesters.
