Ukraine will discuss with Russia the issue of the prisoners’ exchange between the Ukrainian side and the militants the next week as Syohodni reported citing Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak.
“We expect that at the upcoming meetings that will take place the next week, we will discuss the issue and particular dates of the next prisoners’ exchange. As for today, each side provided the list of 100 people,” Yermak stated.
The Head of the President’s Office noted that the Red Cross mission will go to the territory uncontrolled by Ukraine, specifying that it will be the first state of the preparation for the prisoner's swap.
Yermak underlined that the return of the Ukrainian from the captivity of the Kremlin is among the priorities of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
As we reported, 235 Ukrainians are illegally detained in the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Recently, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine already transferred new lists for the exchange of detainees to the OSCE.
