Zelensky intends to cut budget on 10 percent to maintain officials

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is going to cut the budget on 10% for maintenance of officials. This was reported on Zelensky's Telegram channel

"We have had a meeting related to preparation of the 2020 budget 2020 to the second reading. I have heard the Minister of Finance's report on the key measures. I ordered to reduce the state budget on 10% for the officials' maintenance on the next year. This will allow to save funds and invest them in the socially important points of the budget," says the message.

It is mentioned that the cut of the budget would not affect doctors and teachers, "those from who the future of Ukraine depends on". 

As it was reported earlier, the economy may grow by 3.7% in 2020. This was stated by Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Milovanov during a briefing. 

At the same time, according to the forecasts of the Ministry of Economy, by the end of next year, the inflation rate could decrease to 5.5%.
