The World Bank predicts the inflation at the level of 10% in Ukraine in 2017. Economist of the office of the World Bank in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Anastasiia Golovach claimed this at the presentation of a new macroeconomic prognosis for Ukraine as Ukrainian News reported.
According to her, the inflation can be at the 10% level this year. She also noticed that the foreign direct investments will maximally make 2% of the GDP. The World Bank thinks that the targeting of narrowing of a deficit of the state budget at least until 2.5 of the GDP is necessary for 2018.
Earlier Petro Poroshenko predicted the inflation at the level of 10% in 2017. According to the State Service of Statistics, the inflation was at 12.4% level in 2016.
The consumer inflation accelerated to 16.2 % as at August 2017 in the annual measure and the index of the consumer prices decreased by 0.1%.
