Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated that the increase of gas prices would cost “minimal losses.” He claimed it on air of Svoboda Slova show on ICTV channel.
“I can tell that the IMF understands the situation. They estimate the real incomes of the people. I am convinced that we will solve this situation with minimal losses,” Groysman said.
According to him, there is no decision, but constructive dialogues with the IMF on the gas prices are being conducted.
“Ukraine has to repay 33 billion USD of debt, besides, we use 5 billion USD annually for the maintenance,” Gorusman said.
Reportedly, the Cabinet of Ministers postponed the increase of gas prices for the population till October 18. Now, the price remains the same, the talks with the IMF are underway.
