It is unknown how long the economic crisis will last as Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal reported on Telegram.

“Let’s be honest: we do not know how long it will last. We already know what to do to overcome the virus. At the same time, the country should mobilize the resources to respond to the economic challenges. For it, the government needs a new strategy and concerted actions,” he noted.

The PM stated that he held the video-conference with the representatives of the think tanks, Ukrainian business and the Office of the President.

“During it, we have agreed that we would form the open strategic platform created on the principles of the professionalism. It is the ‘brain trust’ for the development of the collective decisions on the response to the emergency challengers, improvement of anti-crisis actions and parallel elaboration of the long-term strategy of Ukraine’s development in the terms of the global economic instability,” Shmygal said.

Earlier, Denys Shmygal stated that there is no urgent need to introduce the state of emergency in Ukraine.
