The total volume of incomes from the tourist fee made almost $2.3 million in the first half of 2019. It is more for 71.2% than last year, as 112.ua reported citing the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
“The volume of incomes from the payment of the tourist fee in the first half of 2019 made $2.29 million that is for 71.2% more than in the first half of 2018 ($1.33).”
January 1, 2019, the amendment to the Tax Code came into force. According to it, the new rate of the tourist fee acts in Ukraine. Earlier the amount of the tourist fee depended on the price of the room; now it depends on the minimum wage.
Thus, the fee makes 0,5% for the Ukrainian tourists and from 5% for foreign tourists. At the same time, such fee cannot surpass $0,8 for a day for Ukrainian tourists and $8.5 for the foreigners.
