Vice Prime Minister: Government assigned USD 9.2 bln to restore infrastructure in Donbas

38 infrastructure projects are planned for 2016, - Cabinet’s press service

‘This year, the State Fund for Regional Development allocated 38 projects totally worth of 239.5 million hryvnas (9.2 billion U.S. dollars); twelve of them concern the roadway infrastructure; six regard the power sector; another seven projects are to be implemented in the education area. Five more concern the water supply systems’.

Hennadiy Zubko, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister, said this during his visit to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk; the cities were once captured by pro-Russian militants and released by the Ukrainian troops in summer 2014. Both of them suffered serious economic damage during the occupation.
