Ukrainian MPs supported the government bill, which provides for the reduction of green tariffs. 268 of them voted for the draft law No. 36558. The decision is published on the parliament website.
The document lists the changed rates of the so-called "green" tariffs, which will be applied from July 1, 2020.
The “green” tariff for solar power plants (SES) put into operation from July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019 and for the plants with a capacity of more than 1 MW is reduced by 15%. For solar power plants with a capacity of less than 1 MW - by 10%. For wind farms the tariff is reduced by 10%.
For SPPs and wind farms commissioned from January 1, 2020, the tariff is reduced by 2.5%.
"For renewable energy facilities put into operation before June 30, 2015, the limit size of the green tariff is set, which will reduce the size of tariffs for such facilities to 52%," the document says.
For new stations, which will be launched on August 1, 2020, the green tariff will be reduced by 50%.
