The House of Representatives of the US Congress has prepared a bill on the military budget for 2021, which involves the allocation of another $ 250 million aid for the defense of Ukraine. This is stated in the summary of the document published on the website of the Committee on Armed Forces.

"The committee allocates $ 250 million for Ukraine's Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which provides support and assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, of which $ 50 million can only be used for lethal defensive equipment," the bill says.

In addition, the ban on financing any activity that involves the recognition of the sovereignty of the Russian Federation over Crimea will be expanded.

It also extends the limit on military cooperation with Russia, which, however, does not apply to bilateral military dialogue in order to reduce the risk of conflict.

In June 2020 it was reported that the Ministry of Defense plans to allocate $ 250 million for the 2020 fiscal year to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capability for more effective protection against Russian aggression.
