The U.S. Commerce Department abolished the anti-dumping customs tariffs for the Ukrainian ammonium nitrate as the press service of Ukraine's Ministry for Agrarian Policy and Food reported.
It is stated that the act of the tariffs stops since June 12, 2018, due to the end of the term of their application.
The reconsideration of the anti-dumping customs tariffs has begun on May 1, 2018, on the initiative of the U.S. Commerce Department. As the interested Ukrainian sides did not participate in the reconsideration, the anti-dumping customs tariffs for the ammonium nitrate produced in Ukraine intended for the use in the agriculture was abolished.
Due to this, the Ukrainian fertilizers will have a chance to enter the American market.
Earlier the tariff for the Ukrainian fertilizers was 156, 29%. They were established on September 12, 2001.
As we reported earlier the Generalized System of Preferences, which allows for duty-free importation of more than 3,500 types of goods from Ukraine to the United States, has suspended 155 types of Ukrainian goods.
