“From now on, Ukrposhta will be able to serve customers with Prostir payment cards. This will facilitate the expansion of payment infrastructure for cashless payments and will enable the government to increase the volume of cashless transactions in Ukraine, especially in small towns and villages”,- the message reads.
Prostir retail payment system is the creation of the National Bank of Ukraine, which allows individuals to pay for goods and services, to receive cash and to perform other transactions with the national currency with Prostir payment system cards.
Some 48 Ukrainian banks are currently in the network of the system. The cards are being issued by Oschadbank, Ukrgazbank, Privatbank, Reiffeisen Bank Aval, Pravex Bank, Policombank, Globus Bank and others. Furthermore, the cards are accepted and service by some 86% of existing terminals and cash points.
