An amicable adjustment between Ukrnafta and Ukrtransnafta was signed and approved by the court last week. The executive director of Naftogaz-Ukraine Yuriy Vitrenko wrote about it on his Facebook page.
"Last week, an amicable adjustment between Ukrtransnafta and Ukrnafta on the recognition of the listed above volumes of gas (2,06 billion cubic meters), which are retained at the Ukrtransnafta's storage facilities, was signed and approved by the court. As of now, Ukrnafta is imparting this gas to Naftogaz under the concluded contract of sale and purchase of this gas,” the message reads.
The amicable adjustment concerns the disputed volumes of gas that Ukrnafta produced and transferred to the gas transmission system during 2006-2012.
As we reported earlier, Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Oleksiy Orzhel announced the possibility of lowering gas prices for Ukrainians due to the transit of blue fuel from Russia. This was stated on his Facebook page.
"The signing of the agreement (on gas transit - ed.) made it possible to stabilize the market situation, and accordingly there are all positive factors for reducing prices. And today the Cabinet of Ministers made appropriate decisions," Orzhel said.
