The balance of funds in the single account belonging to Ukraine’s State Treasury Service was estimated at ($315.8 million) as of 1 April, which exhibited a 16% fall from the figure recorded on 1 March 2018. At the same time, the balance as of 1 April 2018 indicates a 16% fall from the level observed on 1 April 2017, UNIAN reports.
However, since the beginning of the current year, the balance has increased by 63%, according to the message published on the official website of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine.
As of 1 January 2018, the balance of funds in the Treasury’s single account was estimated at $193.8 million, which was 64.3% down from the figure recorded on 1 January 2017.
The balance of funds in the Treasury’s single account is not a constant value. The balance may rise due to government revenues from collected taxes and other mandatory payments to the state and local budgets. Conversely, the balance may decline at times of peak budget spending.
