Ukrainian television channels 112 Ukraine, Pryamy, Sontse, NewsOne, XSport, Espreso TV, EU:Music and ATR have formed the Ukrainian Television Association in order to ensure market self-regulation. Espreso TV pubslished such information on its official website, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“We believe that transparent and understandable rules on the television market will help promote confidence among market players and develop the industry. We encourage cooperation from our colleagues at other TV channels, providers, experts and representatives of government institutions to discuss and come up with solutions that will help all producers to develop and compete,” the association said.
The association is ready to welcome UA:First and other TV channels, which need more time to process their accession to the group.
Mykola Typusiak from Espreso TV was elected the association board’s chairman, while Viktoriya Borschenko from UA:First and Oleh Shostal (112 Ukraine) also joined the board.
The Ukrainian Television Association intends to work in the areas of television measurements, advertising sales and distribution market.
