Ukrainian Malyshev Factory has mastered and begun the batch production of the new tracks for the infantry fighting vehicles from the special steels of the Ukrainian manufacturing within the program of import substitution as “Ukroboronprom” (association of multi-product enterprises in various sectors of the defense industry of Ukraine) reported.
For the launch of the production, Malyshev Factory has mastered special technological processes in the closed cycle and created a new production line. The works lasted for less than six months and the Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles got new tracks.
The first complexes have already successfully passed the testing in the military units of the Defense Ministry, during which the infantry fighting vehicles overcame over 1,000 km off-road and surfaced roads without breakages or failures.
“Ukroboronprom” noted that Malyshev Factory also masters welding of the hulls of BTR-4 and BTR-3 for expansion of their production. These and other works, held in 2018, allowed to broad the nomenclature of the factory’s production for the needs of the Ukrainian Army, increase the financial rates of the enterprise and increase the wage of all workers of the plant by 20% and hold the scheduled modernization of the production to increase the number of the manufactured products.

Besides, Kyiv Armored Vehicle Plant which joint the state company “Ukroboronprom” has manufactured the pilot hull of the armored personnel carrier 3DA (APC-3DA) made of the armored steel released by one of the NATO countries.
