Ukrainian parliament to allocate part of Covid-fund's money for road construction

Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported the draft law № 3509 on changes to the state budget. 274 MPs voted in favour. Online broadcast was provided by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

The bill proposes to allocate part of the money from the Coronavirus Fund for the construction and reconstruction of public roads of national importance.

It is noted that the adoption of the bill will lead to a positive socio-economic effect for the state, namely:

- stimulation of additional demand for products of industries in the amount of 950,5 million dollars;

- increase of all types of taxes and obligatory payments to the budgets of all levels in the amount of 282,9 million dollars;

- increase in the income of the employed population in the amount of 68,5 million dollars

- increase of investment capacity of road enterprises (planned savings) in the amount of 8,9 million dollars.

As we reported earlier, on June 1, 2020, a system of automatic photo and video recording of traffic was launched in Ukraine.

A network of photo and video recordings will be launched. First, it will be 17 points, then about 40, all over the country we plan to have about 700 such points. We will be able to publish the appropriate schedule, addresses, and order after the adoption of this resolution,” Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said.
