The Cabinet of Ministers has established an interagency working group to coordinate the negotiation process with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This was reported by the press service of Ukrainian Finance Ministry.
"The relevant interdepartmental working group is a temporary consultative and advisory body of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which was established to fulfill the obligations of the Ukrainian side under the ‘Stand-by’ program," the statement said.
Yuriy Butsa, Government Commissioner for Public Debt Management, will chair it.
As we reported earlier, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko predicts that the arrival of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Ukraine will take place this fall.
"The Fund's mission raises questions, including those about the budget. There is every reason to believe that the mission will arrive in October or November. We are constantly communicating, we actually have telephone talks every single week,” he said.
The official sees no reason to believe that the Ukrainian authorities have certain problems in cooperating with the organization.
