Ukraine’s PM Volodymyr Groysman appointed an internal investigation due to the delays in pension payments, as he said at the Government’s meeting with the board of the Pension Fund, State Treasury, Finance Ministry and Social Policy Ministry, as the press office of the Government reports.
“I am concerned about the information that the delays in pension payments are taking place in the regions. It is their (Pension Fund board) personal responsibility to fulfil the obligations regarding the senior citizens. Solve the problem till the end of the week. Besides, an internal investigation is appointed 0 concerning the actions of Pension Fund board and their colleagues in the regions. I will not forgive for another delay. It is unacceptable to create additional problems for the people,” Groysman said.
The PM called the issue a personal responsibility of the Pension Fund board and stressed that the situation needs to be solved till the end of the week.
He noted that the state is transferring all the budget transfers in time.
“The central budget does not have any debts before the Pension Fund. We fund it fully. Take all the measures to prevent such situations. The senior citizens need respect and protection,” Groysman stressed.
Earlier, the delay in pension payments began more than two weeks ago. The representatives of Ukrposhta informed about a regular operation and added that the delays were connected with the temporary technical problems in Ukraine’s Pension Fund.
As the representatives of the Pension Fund explained, the delay in payments occurred due to the cash shortage of social due fee input.
