The State Statistics Committee reported an increase of 2.3% in real gross domestic product of Ukraine in 2016. This assessment was made public by the State Statistical Service.

It is also reported that the nominal GDP in 2016 amounted to 2383.2 billion UAH, and GDP per person - 55 thousand 848 UAH.

Organization clarifies that in the first quarter of last year, GDP growth relative to the same period last year was 0.1%, compared to the previous quarter - 0.5%.

In the second quarter of 2016, growth accelerated to 1.5% and 0.9%, in the third quarter to 2.3% and 1.4%, in the fourth quarter, as already indicated, to 4.8% and 1,9%.

In nominal terms, GDP in the first quarter of last year was equal to 455.637 billion UAH, in the second - 535.324 billion UAH, in the third - 669.17 billion UAH and in the fourth - 723.051 billion UAH.

Earlier it was reported that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expects growth of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2017 at the level of 3%.
