The State Statistics Service of Ukraine published the first preliminary estimate of Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2021. Relevant data are published on the website of the State Statistics Service.
According to the data, the economy of Ukraine fell by 2.0% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period last year.
The agency also reported that Ukraine's GDP in the first quarter fell by 1.1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2020.
The press office of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported earlier that Ukraine's real GDP in 2020 has dropped by four percent.
By the estimates of Oleg Ustenko, economic counselor of President Volodymyr Zelensky, this year, the inflation rate in Ukraine will make approximately seven percent. The growth of prices will be caused by the situation on the world's markets.
