On September 1, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine repaid the second series of Eurobonds issued in 2015 during the restructuring. This was reported by the ministry’s press service.
"The total amount of payment was more than two billion dollars, including 1.69 billion dollars of Eurobonds repayments and 0.40 billion dollars of interest payments on Eurobonds maturing in 2020-2027," the statement said.
By the end of the year, the balance of foreign currency payments on public debt will have been about 1,6 billion dollars.
On August 27, Ukraine's Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture improved the inflation forecast for 2020 to 5.9% (from December to December).
As we reported earlier, the Ukrainian government expects that the country's average wage will be at the level of 600 dollars by 2022.
"In June, the average real wages exceeded the pre-crisis level and amounted to $450. The economy began to recover, and people are returning to work. We expect that by 2022 the average salaries in the country will be at the level of $600,” the head of government stated.
