Gross external debt of Ukraine was 113,643 billion dollars as of early April which is by 0,11% more than it was at the beginning of the year. This information was published on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The general government debt is $ 36.5 billion, central bank debt is 6,4 billion dollars, debt of other deposit corporations is 8,5 billion dollars, of other sectors - 53,3 billion dollars and intercompany debt is 9,04 billion dollars.
It is noteworthy that the amount of external debt of Ukraine decreased by 5,2 billion dollars in 2016 and at the end of 2016 it was 113,5 billion dollars. In relation to GDP, the amount of the debt has decreased during the year from 131,3% to 121,8%. The reduction was due to a decrease in private sector liabilities.
