The Government of Ukraine plans to provide 154,000 jobs in the field of road construction, 150,000 - in landscaping and 85,000 - in agriculture. This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers that was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
According to Petrashko, Ukraine plans to create about 500,000 jobs and to establish conditions for the development of small and micro-entrepreneurship, for the recruitment to the State Emergency Service and construction of infrastructure projects.
Ihor Petrashko noted that 486,764 people had received the status of the unemployed, 197,000 of them - since the introduction of lockdown.
As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution on the allocation of 221,3 million dollars in order to provide financial assistance to the Compulsory State Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine in case of unemployment.
"The resolution will make it possible to solve two goals. The first is to provide real help to those people who, unfortunately, have already lost their jobs. The second is to help employers pay wages to their employees and thus prevent layoffs," the statement reads.
