Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has transported 40 billion cubic meters of Russian gas to European countries. This was reported by the press service of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine.
It is noted that Ukraine transits 174 million cubic meters of gas in one day.
"This is the maximum that is expected and currently provided for in the contract with Gazprom for the entire 2020," the statement reads.
The Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine stated that it fully fulfilled its obligations to ensure uninterrupted gas transportation.
As we reported earlier, according to Executive Director of Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine Serhiy Makohon, Moldova will store gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities.
"The first supplies have already begun. According to Moldovagaz, it is planned to pump about 100 million cubic meters of gas during October-November," he wrote.
He also noted that the work on the issue of storing gas reserves in Ukraine began in summer 2019 when there was uncertainty with the continuation of transit through Ukraine.
