Ukraine transferred its last for 2017 payment to IMF

During this year, Ukraine paid more to the IMF than received from it

Yesterday, Dec. 1, Ukraine transferred its last due payment to the International Monetary Fund in 2017, as Ukrainian News was told by the press-service of the National Bank of Ukraine. 

The last payment was $169 million, while overall Ukraine paid the IMF $1.268 billion this year. At the same time, Ukraine received one $1 billion tranche from the IMF this year.

The next IMF tranche in the amount of $ 1.9 billion is expected no sooner than the spring of 2018.

As it was reported earlier, the European Commission will not allocate the third envisaged tranche of 600 million euro for the macro-financial support to Ukraine, as the country didn’t fulfill some of the necessary conditions.
