The Ukrainian Continental Farmers Group company has sent a cargo ship with 60,000 tons of wheat from the seaport Chornomorsk to Saudi Arabia, this is the first such delivery in 12 years. It is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
Continental Farmers Group, together with its shareholder, the Saudi Agricultural Investment and Livestock Company, won the tender announced by the Saudi Arabia Grain Organization, the Saudi state purchaser, for the supply of 60,000 tons of wheat.
"I am sure that this is certainly a good indicator and a clear signal of serious investment intentions of Saudi Arabia in Ukraine," said Georg von Nolcken, General Director of Continental Farmers Group.
In turn, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Ukraine Muhammad Suleiman al-Musger noted that Saudi Arabia plans to develop cooperation in the agro-industrial and defense spheres.
We reported that in the spring of this year, Ukraine has cut wheat exports by three times.
