Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated that Ukraine has to repay $15,2 million of debt. He said it on air of Svoboda Slova show on ICTV channel.
“Our budget for the next year will be $4,2 billion, $15,2 million of which we have to repay, it’s one-third of the budget,” Groysman said.
According to him, in the IMF, it’s possible to “note” only once and never to erase: “So, Ukraine is a hostage today”.
“To continue cooperation with the IMF, Ukraine has to repay the debts gathered since 2006 till 2010,” Groysman added.
Yet, he ensured that the IMF understands the situation and the gas price increase will bring “minimum losses”.
