It is reported that the Moldovan Energocom Company and Naftogaz signed a framework agreement on the supply of up to 700 million cubic meters of gas if it is necessary.
In this case, we are talking about delivery exclusively on a paid basis. However, at the moment Moldova has not purchased a single cubic meter.
It is noted that, if it is necessary, the imported resource will be sold, in other words, purchased in Europe with the marginality of the Naftogaz.
"There can be no talk of domestic extraction of gas," a source in the government said.
At the same time, the agreement between the companies must still be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
As we reported, the Moldovan government has declared a state of emergency in the energy sector due to a gas shortage that arose after the expiration of a gas contract with Gazprom, which has not yet been extended.
Later it was reported that as part of the "emergency assistance", Ukraine will supply about 15 million cubic meters of gas to Moldova free of charge.
