Ukraine will have an opportunity to receive gas from Norway since 2022. This was stated on Facebook by adviser to the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Maxym Belyavsky, referring to the signing of a memorandum between Poland and Denmark on cooperation to ensure direct gas supplies from Norway.
"The direct flow of Norwegian gas to Ukraine would be a reality since 2022. We just need to build an interconnector between Ukraine and Poland: in the autumn procurement of pipes will begin," Belyavsky wrote.
The minister also published a scanned copy of the text of the memorandum.
As reported, the government allowed Naftogaz to attract UAH 3.5 billion in loans for gas.
