Ukraine may receive the first tranche of financial assistance from the World Bank in July. The amount of the tranche will be 350 million dollars. This was stated by Minister of Finance Sergey Marchenko, reports Mind.
Also this year, Ukraine will receive assistance from the IMF and the European Commission.
"It is planned to receive several loans. First of all, these are IMF payments by the end of 2020 (the first tranche were $ 2.1 billion, the amount of the second and third - $ 1.4 billion). We also plan to receive macro-financial assistance from the European Commission (1,2 billion euros + 0.5 billion euros)," the report said.
It is known that the total amount of assistance from the World Bank will amount to $ 1 billion.
On June 10, it was reported that the executive board of the International Monetary Fund approved an 18-month stand-by stand-by agreement for Ukraine with access to 3.6 billion SDR special drawing rights (about $ 5 billion).
On June 12, it became known that Ukraine received the first tranche from the IMF in the amount of $ 2.1 billion.
In September, the International Monetary Fund will assess how much Ukraine lives up to the stand-by programme, and decide on the provision of the second tranche of the loan for this country. Jerry Rice, the director of the Fund's press office said so in his commentary for Ukrinform news agency.
"This progamme (stand-by, - 112 International) has just begun, and currently, it's difficult to name a date of the first revision to take place. But I can say we're looking for September", Rice said.
He reiterated that the stand-by programme provides Ukraine with access for wider international financial support, including that from the EU.
