Ukraine steps down in World Competitiveness Ranking

Ukraine took 60th place thought last year it was on 59th

Ukraine stepped down one position in World Competitiveness Ranking during the past year.  This was stated in the research of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD).

Last year Ukraine was placed 59th. This year, Croatia took 59th position, whereas Ukraine took 60th. Below Ukraine are Brazil (61), Mongolia (62). Venezuela is placed last.

The most competitive economy is in Hong Kong SAR, followed by Switzerland and Singapore. Top ten countries are the USA, the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Luxembourg, Sweden, United Arab Emirates.

The research is based on an analysis of 333 criteria, on four indicators: the state of the economy, effectiveness of the government, business environment and infrastructure.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine ends up in last 10 of safety and security rating. The safest countries are Finland and UAE, while Colombia is the most dangerous one.
