Exports of poultry and pork increased by 1.5 times, to $228.19 million since the beginning of the year which is 29% more compared to a year earlier, the State Fiscal Service reported.
In January-July 2017 Ukraine exported 169,516 tonnes of poultry and offal, and imports of poultry and offal in January-July increased by 39%, to 55,360 tonnes, by almost 31%, to $21.69 million.
According to the State Fiscal Service, exports of pork for the seven months of 2017 rose by 2.8 times compared to the corresponding period of 2016, to 3,927 tonnes. In terms of money, exports of this product amounted to $8.28 million against $2.04 million in January-July 2016.
Imports of pork to Ukraine during this period decreased by 26.6%, to 1,700 tonnes. The country received this meat for a total of $1.643 million, which is 4% less than in January-July 2016.
